Included in the $35 million makeover of Las Palmas Resort in California was the addition of the family-friendly Splashtopia water feature. The two-acre park features a lazy river, two 100 foot long water slides, outdoor pool and a sandy beach where kids can play in the water with sand toys.

The resort also announced Kidtopia, a new camp for kids, with a diverse menu of activities for younger guests, including games, science activities, arts, crafts, books, puzzles, computer stations and outdoor play. Room rates start at $450 per night.
