Camp Pelican
The luxury Resort at Pelican Hill in Southern California goes to great lengths to make kids feel special. Children have their own check-in, where they are acknowledged by name and receive a set of goodies.
At check-in, each child receives an Oshibori towel, ID card identifying them as an honorary guest (and good for a complimentary gelato at The Caffè), and a map with instructions and the first piece of the puzzle for Pelican Hills’ signature Scavenger Hunt.
Kids ages 4 to 12 receive a drawstring backpack welcome gift, a journal, and a stuffed pelican plush named Murdock , a Camp Pelican mascot. The 13-17 year olds receive a messenger bag for teens, a writing journal and pen, and a disposable camera.
The resort has a separate children’s area with its own circular pool and a circular interactive fountain.
Camp Pelican offers indoor and outdoor activities. The indoor area has complete computer stations, age-appropriate books and magazines, an a number of popular games. The patio area has a fountain, a swimming pool, scheduled activities, pingpong,
foosball and a telescope.
The Teen Adventure Program for 13-17 year olds offers excursions, kayaking, surfing lessons, and a night out in the summer.
